Pandemic fatigue, quarantine burnout, emotional burnout, COVID burnout, call it what you will, we are continuing to struggle with COVID-19. These struggles are lasting longer than we expected, but as the Church, we must continue to care for our neighbors, support our members, and check-in with one another.
Faced with these responsibilities, your Leadership Board, wanted to provide you with guidance regarding public worship and use of the Church property. Your Leadership Board is aware of the confusion that was created recently by the last-minute cancellation of the in-person worship service. Going forward, in-person Sunday worship will continue uninterrupted and will not be cancelled. However, it is expected that worshipers will wear a mask in all public areas of the Church property and that masks will be removed, at the option of the worshiper, after the worshiper is seated and properly socially distanced. The Church will continue to follow all necessary precautions, such as cleaning, requiring the wearing of masks, keeping rooms well ventilated, providing hand sanitizer, and collecting worshiper information on sign-in sheets each week to use for contact tracing, if needed. It is recognized that there are individuals who are currently uncomfortable with crowds and people not wearing masks. To meet the needs of these members and worshipers, the Church will continue to provide online/virtual Sunday worship opportunities and it is anticipated that this online/virtual worship will remain an integral part of this Church’s worship service in the future.
Our building will be open by appointment only through December. The Church staff will be here during that time. Please contact the office by phone or email for an appointment: 616-754-8532 or email email@example.com. Pastor Jeff can be reached anytime by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), phone, or text (269-944-9231).
Thank you for your support and prayers.
